Early work, inkt on paper.This selection of ink drawings is an exploration of the "now," the moment in which an image is created through an ink imprint. The shapes are abstract. There are also flower images, created with a brush. It's all about color and form. My work stems from a fascination with the moment ink takes shape, the image that emerges, the way the ink spreads, and the surprise of the resulting form. This is also linked to children who paint with a certain decisiveness and concentration—once it's done, it's done.

Vroeg werk, inkt op papier. Deze selectie inkttekeningen is een verkenning van het 'nu', het moment waarop een beeld ontstaat door middel van een inktafdruk. De vormen zijn abstract. Er zijn ook bloemenafbeeldingen, gemaakt met een penseel. Het draait allemaal om kleur en vorm. Mijn werk komt voort uit een fascinatie voor het moment waarop inkt vorm krijgt, het beeld dat ontstaat, de manier waarop de inkt zich verspreidt en de verrassing van de resulterende vorm. Dit heeft ook te maken met kinderen die met een zekere daadkracht en concentratie schilderen – als het eenmaal af is, is het af.
